Boxify Design’s custom greaseproof paper is a special wrapping paper designed to resist grease and oil without wax or coatings. Its non-sticky, translucent appearance makes it ideal for fast food outlets, bakeries, and food packaging. Printed with your logo, these sheets also become a powerful branding tool.

Material & Manufacturing

Virgin Pulp: Made from FSC-approved softwood and hardwood fibers for strength, smoothness, and eco-friendliness.

Bleaching & Refining: Removes impurities and odor, creating clean, food-grade paper.

Fiber Uniformity & Consistency: Mechanical refining and controlled water-to-fiber ratios produce a dense, uniform sheet.

Sheet Formation & Drying: Pulp is formed on wire meshes, pressed, dried, and polished (supercalendered) to create smooth, glossy, grease-resistant sheets.

Additives for Performance

To enhance grease and moisture resistance without coating, Boxify Design’s pulp is treated with:

Internal Sizing Agents & Alkyl Ketene Dimer (AKD): Block grease from penetrating the paper.

Modified Starches & Cationic Starch: Improve fiber bonding and reduce oil/water absorption.

Wet Strength Resins & Polyamide Epichlorohydrin (PAE): Maintain durability for hot or moist foods.

Fillers (Titanium Dioxide & Clay): Improve brightness, smoothness, and printability.

Why It Resists Grease

Boxify Design greaseproof paper’s resistance comes from its dense fiber structure, not from coatings. Intensive fiber beating creates microfibers that form tight hydrogen bonds, reducing porosity. Supercalendering compresses and polishes the surface, making it breathable, compostable, and naturally grease-resistant.
